This blog is a review of Grown Alchemist’s hand cream. This is a Made in Australia product and I’ll immediately direct you to a couple of praiseworthy features:
- the gender neutral packaging means it really should be mandated to every man I know
- the tube is made of aluminium so definitely ticks an environmentally box
(Of course, there are local alternatives where the carbon footprint is less…another blog).
Features of the hand cream
I really liked the thick consistency of the hand cream and the fact that it came in a tube meant it did not go all over the place.
The hand cream absorbs into my skin quickly without any soapiness and doesn’t leave them feeling sticky.
My hands are definitely more soft and supple on application.
What I cannot stand is the vanilla and citrus smell of this product, which of course, because its a hand cream, lingers on your skin.
It smells very much like a mild version of an antiseptic cream. Who wants their hands to smell this way?
But lets be honest here: smell is extremely personal, so you may not dislike it.
Would I buy this hand cream again?
Age and life experiences before my time me old hands. Over the week that I have used this cream, my hands definitely feel softer and more supple. BUT (and this is the whole point of using hand creams) is there no visible difference in the fine lines and wrinkles. Even if I ignore the smell (personal preference) I think this is a semi-light weight hand cream for someone in their 30s who is just showing first signs of ageing
This cost me US$24 and Click here to buy.
But what is interesting,…is they do an intensive hand cream.
I wonder if this is better suited to me? Its US$3 more so definitely worth a try
