What do I think of this calendar and would I buy it?

I will level with you.

The cons of the calendar are

(i) The price of £250 – personally, is this the best way for me to spend £250 on my beauty/fragrance/skincare regime?

I am find a 45 item list quite overwhelming – I wouldn’t buy this because I am not going to use all of it.

(ii) Being a beauty insider now and knowing how much unused beauty products end up in landfills, I simply refuse to buy products that I can’t use, sell or pass on.

(iii) I am not sure how to respond when a calendar writes 5ml against a product and says this is a full-sized product. Do they mean its net weight is 5ml (that’s a legal requirement)? Or do they mean full sized products are 5ml?

Why not call it what it is – a sample? a mini size? I appreciate the English language is quite limited, but its not that limited

However, the pros of the calendar are:

(i) There are 4 treatment vouchers – so there is less physical waste produced if you don’t use it.

I don’t think there are any products in this calendar that I am dying to try out. This is a pass for me given the price is high, and curation of calendars has to be an art – which Harvey Nicks ignore.

Finally, the value of the advent calendars very much depends on how much you are going to use or recycle – so please consider that
