As many of you know, Karva Chauth is a fast kept by women in India for the long life of their husbands/partners/partners-to-be or simply, people they love. My blog is a judgment-free zone, so if you are going to spew the patriarchal nature of this fast etc., then really, this is the wrong outlet.
Most of you will have already prepared for Karva Chauth (at least, that’s what I am hoping). If not, here are five treats for you.
The maang tikka

Ekay Handwoven Beige Gold Meenakari Banarasi Net Sari (US$400)
This is a lightweight (and cheaper) option from Ekaya. Its essentially banarasi work on a lighter frabric.
L’Affaire’s tussar georgette saree with zari (INR 69,000)
Trust me, this is a very reasonably priced saree given the legacy of this particular shop and the quality of workmanship.
