Multiple product road test for 40 days

I returned from India about a month ago, and I am embarrassed to admit that apart from sunscreen and a facewash, I have been using ZERO products.

I know. And my face is poorer for it (as you can tell)

Therefore, in the spirit of getting my skincare (and face) back on track I will be product testing these products over the next 40 days.

From left to right I have:

YourGoodSkin Brightening Exfoliating Wash

IZIL Regenerating serum (IZIL is a Moroccan brand)

IZIL regenerating cream (for dry skin)

Paula’s Choice Essential Glow Moisturizer

NIOD’s Non-Acid Precursor 15% ( I have used this before)

YourGood Anti-Oxidant Day Cream SPF 30

Bioderma Photoderm Spot-Age SPF 50+

Forest Essentials’ Nayantara Clear Lash & Brow serum

What are my expectations?

The reason why I am using 3 different types of moisturisers is that I can compare each on a daily basis. I maintain a daily journal for testing and its a good way to document the process and give final feedback on products.

Also, life is just too short not to use products when I am working from home.

The entire range that I have selected is to brighten the skin – be in no doubt that the products are anti-oxidant heavy and therefore I should not see an increase sun damage. If I do, this is a problem.

Also, despite drinking 3 litres+ of water a day, my skin is dry as parchment paper – and I’d like to see an improvement in that.

In relation to Forest Essentials’ eye product – I will only use it on my eyelashes. Just basic oral eye hygiene means I WON’T use it on my eyebrows as the risk of infection is too high. In addition to eyelashes not falling out, I am expecting my dark circles/eyelids to become less dark. This is because the Nayantara serum has some serious skin whiteners in large % quantities.

What other activities do I do that impact my skincare routine?

I spend about 2 -3 hours a week outside in 40 C under the blazing sun at 12pm.

I know – its my worst nightmare too, but seems to be non-negotiable.

Additionally, I will be using my nuface device at least 2-3 times a week, and as when needed, massage my face with Forest Essential’s Tejasvi Emulsion.
