My close friend pointed out that if I reviewed a bunch of advent calendars over Christmas, then I should do the same for Ramadan.
She is not wrong, except that a quick glance of what is on offer is extremely disappointing.
Huda Beauty
For example, at the same price point (AED 524 or US$ 140), the Huda Beauty Ramadan gifting calendar offers less value for money than the Christmas Advent calendar 2020.
I also find it amusing that the Christmas Advent calendar is priced at a 30% discount and now also AED 524 or US$ 140.
I definitely got a great deal on Huda Beauty’s Mystery Bag (not more than two months ago). Here is a link to that blog.
Faces Ramadan calendar
This was launched via Instagram and appeared to be a bargain at AED 649 (for products worth AED 2,000). Unfortunately, it sold out before I could get my hands on it.
L’Occitane’s Ramdan calendar
This is available for AED 399 and contains products worth AED 577, per the brand’s website.
Which one?
I bought L’Occitane’s 2020 Ramadan calendar (in the sale) and apart from the packaging, the content is pretty much the same. I have got so much use out of this calendar that I would happily buy it at full price again.
The Ramadan beauty advent calendar scene is not as comparable to Christmas (yet). If feels as if beauty brands/retailers are testing the waters. I would give it a couple of year before things getting interesting. Otherwise, if you are interested in calendars, L’Occitane gets my vote. Alternatively, there are a plethora of other Ramadan gifts, which you could consider at this LINK.
