This is a skincare routine I have devised for a friend, who recently turned 50. Her primary concerns are:
- Lose of neck elasticity
- Increasing number and size of solar lentigines
My concerns about are skin are:
- Extremely serious sun damage (no isolated pigmentation, but large number of solar lentigines)
- Intense wrinkles and crow’s feet
- Loss of collagen – shows mainly as loss skin around the neck
What’s solar lentigines?
They are areas of large pigmentation, instead of smaller spots. I have pointed mine out.
How to introduce new products into your regime?
My friend uses all the Clarins products – its a complete waste to ask her to ditch these. Instead I have asked her to incorporate 3 NIOD products and a new sunscreen.
Steps 1 and 2: Clarins cleanser followed by toner. Its 100% fine if you don’t use a cleanser in the morning.
Step 3: Apply NIOD Repigment. This is to lighten the dark patches on the side of your face.
Step 4: Apply NIOD eye serum on both bottom and top of eyelid.
Step 5: Apply the NIOD neck elasticity catalyst
Step 6: Apply Moisturiser – whatever you are using from Clarins is fine
Step 7: Wait 5 minutes and then apply SPF 50, even if you are sitting in the house
Steps 1 and 2: Cleanse and tone.
Step 3: Apply NIOD Re-pigment
Step 4: Apply NIOD Ethylated Ascorbic Acid – this is a Vitamin C serum, which will help increase skin elasticity and tonicity
Step 5: Apply NIOD eye serum
Step 6: Apply NIOD neck elasticity catalyst
Step 7: Apply Clarins night cream – whatever this is.
Any weekly routines?
Yes, twice a week should use the Tata Harper resurfacing mask
Can I use this routine on holiday?
Ideally you should but honestly, I know she won’t. Therefore the most important things to pack for holidays in either the mountain or on a beach are SUNSCREEN, a cleanser and face cream (in that order).
How long before I see results?
At least two months.
