Welcome to the ONLY 60 day product test for Clinique products by an Indian!
As I’m non-affiliated to Clinique, the truth (or less dramatically, the actual outcome of using these products) is what I’ll document.
How did I buy my products?
Based on recommendations of a specialist at Clinique’s boutique in the Dubai Mall. My main concern (as always) was the sun-damage around my eyes.
She suggested Clinique’s Vitamin C range and added that my marks should fade but not disappear. Her honesty was a refreshing breathe of fresh air. There was no hard sale. In fact, she did not think I needed a separate day and night cream – perhaps I should have told her my age.
What is my routine?
Both morning and evening routines are identical except I swap creams.
Morning
(L to R: Facial cleanser, toner, Vitamin C 10%, Vitamin C powder, day moisturiser)
Evening
(L to R: Facial cleanser, toner, Vitamin C 10%, Vitamin C powder and night cream)
What do I expect?
I spend an extremely large amount of time outside and that does show on my skin. I am looking for this routine to restore balance, namely:
- Lighten pigmentation
- Hydrate skin, so that it is visibly more supple
- Not damage my skin barrier – so no break outs or changing the combination status of my skin
What’s the Vitamin C expectation?
I recently wrote about Vitamin C’s importance to skincare. See this blog.
Clinique have two Vitamin C products, which I am using twice a day as part of my morning and evening routine.
Naturally, I am expecting serious skin-lightening. This is a non-negotiable outcome of product testing.
PS
For sunscreen I use Ultrasun SPF 50+ and I am completely averse to changing that.
That’s it from the product test lab. I will post an update in a month’s time OR if things go horribly wrong, sooner.
