Before
After
At first glance, this product has a bunch of great ingredients:
- Two skin whiteners : Ascorbic Acid and Niacinamide.
- Niacinamide is an excellent skin lightener because it doesn’t interfere with the body’s synthesis of melanin. Its also one of the safest ingredients that you could use for skin lightening
- Ascorbic Acid is simply Vitamin C and its also an excellent skin lightener
- Ubiquinone, which is an excellent anti-oxidant.
- Glycerin: glycerin is highly hygroscopic and is a strong humectant. Baumann writes, ” The high glycerin products were superior to all other products tested over this five year period because they rapidly restored dry skin to normal hydration levels“
- Collagen Amino Acids should cause plumping action.
My experience of using it is:
- Because this is a cellulose based mask – its less messy than other cheaper sheet masks. It does not tear or slide
- There is an indistinguishable Vitamin C smell – its not offensive
- No stinging or burning for the first 13 mins, but then moderately starts to sting.
- There is no excessive fluid left to rub into my skin
- I do have to use a moisturiser as this is not a deeply hydrating mask
Would I buy this again?
Yes.
My skin is much, much brighter. This is such an easy to use mask, there is no spillage because there isn’t too much serum, or breakage (because the mask is good quality). Also, the mask doesn’t keep slipping off, which means I can actually work whilst wearing the mask.
Also, the mask does what it says it will do. That is, brighten my skin in 15 minutes for £17. In fact, the results are nearly as good as my favourite mask, Sarah Chapman’s Instant miracle face mask (which is no mean feat).
Available for sale at cultbeauty for £17.
