I love shopping. But the pandemic has shown me that there is an even better activity and that’s just browsing and window shopping. Here is my aspirational list of things that I’d like to buy – but at the moment – if they are only going to lie around in storage, I am reluctant to buy.
Earrings from Good Earth
I didn’t think something as simple as an earring could be transformed into a piece of art. I have an overwhelming sense of pride in our traditional jewellery making, which so many cultures have lost. How many Incans or Chinese do you know that practice traditional artisanal skills?
I wish my budget could afford these, but alas not today. Hopefully in the not too distant future.
These are custom made at Good Earth. Here is the link. Priced at ₹ 193100.
Emerald droplet earrings.
These statement earrings are comprise of synthetic or lab made emeralds and I suspect are inspired by Angelina Jolie’s love of the green stone. I don’t know where I would wear them, especially with a mask, but they were 50% off and I bought a pair….
Available at 7th Avenue jewellery for US$ 240 plus shipping.
Rose print dress from L K Bennett
I have nothing to wear for the summer (which has already arrived here). Really I don’t. But I love the sweetheart line on this dress.
And of course, you get to support a Made in Britain brand and let’s be honest, the British economy needs all the support it can get.
Available for sale at L K Bennett online for £225. Link is here
