I am going to be upfront with you the Beauty space offers little for the Ramadan gifting market. Last year, I reviewed a few calendars, but this year there is barely anything noteworthy apart from L’Occitane and Huda Beauty.
You can read the Huda Beauty Ramadan gift review here, but as I mention in the blog, there is nothing to get excited about
L’Occitane Ramadan gifting
In the Middle East, L’Occitane offer multiple Ramadan gift sets ranging from AED 109 (sold-out) to AED 500. I have bought L’Occitane calendars in the past – the content pretty much stays the same (as is this the case this year) and I would happily buy these, because they are such good value for money.
If you know a friend or family love L’Occitane, then honestly, you cannot go too wrong with these gifts.
What would my Ramadan gift be?
I assume that Ramadan is a expensive affair and so my choices also break the bank, in that they are utterly indulgent.
My personal preference would be these products:
- Make-up from Pat McGrath’s Bridgerton collection
- CREED’s new fragrance
- Cheek tints from Huda Beauty and
- Jo Malone Candle
Bridgerton Make up from Pat McGrath
I didn’t think I would be a fan of Mr Bridgerton (but I am). Available to purchase from April 6th at this link are the following:
- Seven new shades of lipsticks (SatinAllure™ Lipstick), priced at US$ 28 each
- One new eyeshadow palette priced at US$ 65
New fragrance from CREED
This is Creed’s newest perfume launch and I won’t lie it has all my favourite notes. The description from the Creed website is:
Floral and fresh, this fragrance opens with sweet jasmine, wrapped around the zesty scent of Tunisian orange blossom and softened by a fresh and a fruity peach note, a powerful heart of delicate jasmine flower, tuberose petals and a soft rose extract add depth and texture to this fragrance while a warm flurry of sandalwood is twisted around a haze of iris and musk. A vibrant note of orange blossom and creamy praline offsets this dusky floral scent; bringing to life this luminous fragrance for her.
TOP NOTES: Peach, Jasmine (India), Orange Blossom (Tunisia), MIDDLE NOTES: Jasmine Sambac, Tuberose Absolute, Rose Centifolia, Sandalwood (India) BASE NOTES: Praline, Iris, Orange Blossom (Tunisia), Musk Notes
Available to purchase at CREED or other reputable outlets. Here is a link
Cheek tints by Huda Beauty
I am so old that I remember the time when highlighters were not trendy. I even remember when CHANEL you used to make decent creme blushers! As Huda Beauty is the only beauty trend setter of credence, let’s hope that she spurts a change in direction towards blushers.
Available for sale at Huda Beauty (AED 103 for tint OR US$ 28). Click here to purchase
Jo Malone candles
You cannot get wrong with a Jo Malone candle. Ramadan is the perfect excuse to buy an industrial sized VAT of a calendar.
Also, if you venture into Jo Malone shops (that’s possible know), they will tie up the most beautifully packaged product.
Available for sale at Selfridges (US$ 59 for 200g). Click here to purchase
