I’ll start with the recycling claim made by the brand,
I am really pleased that this product uses 97% less packaging than other traditional masks. It really could have just stopped there. But the brand’s pettiness shows through in how the statement is written. Its off putting to me because I firmly believe that I am not made bigger by taking a machete and cutting everyone down. My actions should just speak for themselves.
Expectations?
This is designed to be a “hydrating plumping mask” using a PLANT-DERIVED COLLAGEN ALTERNATIVE ceratonia siliqua gum. Therefore the lines near my nose (nasolabial folds) and below my eyes should be “filled” in.
There is definitely some plumping action near my nose and eyebrows. The mask is pleasant to use: its cool on application and it has a very faint smell. There is zero stinging, redness or other deleterious effect to report.
Closing
The 45ml pack claims to give more than 12+ applications. Frankly, this may be based on a “baby face” model because I needed at least 5ml (yes, I measured the quantity!). I’d say about 7 to 9 applications, which is fine because this costs GBP 9.99 excluding shipping and taxes. Despite the low price point, I am indifferent to its existence. If I have to hand, I’ll use it but otherwise, I am not rushing out to buy it.
On the other hand, if I was vegan or I was looking for products that didn’t use components of animals, bees etc, then this is a good mask to have on your bathroom shelf.
Available for sale at cultbeauty and the brand’s own website.
