Net-a-porter has a sibling for men, called Mr Porter. Mr Porter has a grooming section, which has skincare products that you would never find in the sale on Net-a-Porter. In the past, I have bought normal skincare from Mr. Porter in the sale for a bargain. Also, Mr Porter charges slightly less for shipping.
Today’s blog covers the few things that I notices in the Beauty and Grooming sections of both websites. The beauty section is jam packed with colour lip products.
Honestly, I didn’t think anything else offered great or amazing value for money.
La Mer starter kit (£229 from £326)
La Mer Restorative Hydration kit (£293 from £418)
In this you get a 60ml moisturiser and a 30ml Concentrate for a 30% discount. My final purchase price (including free shipping and local taxes) is £293, from an actual retail of £418. (That’s a 30% discount!).
Byredo Gypsy water eau de cologne (only ships in select countries)
This is available at 30% discount and this is a unisex perfume, so why not!! It is £119 from £170 for 250ml
The olfactory description is designed with robust top notes of Bergamot, Pepper and Juniper Berries, it’s balanced by a heart of pine needles and incense and grounded by a woody Amber and Vanilla base.
Net a porter beauty sale
What you can buy in the sale actually varies by region. The UK website has so many beauty and skincare items that are not available on my location setting.
Nevertheless here are a few products that I am going to look into:
Christian Louboutin Lipsticks (reduced by 30%)
I am just going to buy this for the packaging…and if I am going to engage in an exercise in vanity, why not in the sale?
“Sheer Voile lip colour – candy” seems to be just what the doctor ordered for me – its pale pink with shimmer, so yes, not everyone’s cup of tea
Face masks
I have an obsession with face masks, because they really do instantly lift/change your skin in a matter of minutes. These are three masks that I would like to try and at 30% off they are a good bargain.
Perricone MD Chlorophyll detox mask (AED 140 for 59ml)
Kahina Giving Beauty Antioxidant mask (AED 150 from AED 214)
This is an American brand that relies on Moroccan ingredients. The founder was inspired by her holiday in Morocco. It must be nice being rich, white and privileged: that all you need to do to set up your own brand is go on holiday.
The mask is steeped in Argan oil and is clay basked. Its meant to be rich in Vitamin C and I’ll be honest I am not sure what ingredients are contributing to it…
But for AED 150 (or about GBP 30) I am up for trying this
