111 Skin Celestial Black Diamond Eye Mask

In the ordinary course of my routine, I don’t use eye masks.  However, my experience with Skyn Iceland’s eye masks was so positive that I ordered these.

Of course, both brands are competing in different markets. Skyn Iceland’s eye masks cost US$ 4.50 per pair. 111 eye mask costs thrice as much at US$ 15 a pair.

If you have never heard of 111 Skin, then the founder is a cosmetic surgeon, who works in Harley Street, London. I hate it when a descriptor is Harley Street cosmetic surgeon. My dentist used to work in Harley Street too and trust me, I was not getting the Hollywood treatment. However, Dr. Yannis (the founder) has Margot Robbie and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as fans*

My expectations are therefore sky-high: this product should be firming and reduce puffiness. Anything less won’t cut it, in Beverly Hills or my bathroom.

Before and after

Closing

I have quite deliberately circled that prominent diagonal line that cuts across my face in an unflattering manner.  It is inelegant and unforgiving: no amount of foundation or prayer appears to get rid of it. Therefore, I am pleased that the eye mask delivers a plumping action as well as firms-up this lost cause of an area.

It looks as if I have got fillers.

Will I purchase this again?

I will be buying this again. However, it will be a special treat because at US$ 15 for just my eyes is difficult to justify.

I also wish brand’s would stop using a truckload of plastic to make one product. Come on guys try harder.
