7 last minute “you cannot go wrong” Diwali gifts

I absolutely love Diwali. It just means the parties start sooner in the lead up to Christmas…

As I shop around for last minute gifts, I can’t help but notice how many NRIs are in India who do the same. We are all on a mission NOT to gift or receive an over-priced box of pistachio bharfi with an inexplicable dried rose petal garnish.

Here is my list of special Diwali gifts for all budgets. As I am a non-affiliated blogger – I receive no commission on products – you can trust my unbiased suggestions.

As this is a skincare blog, it is skincare first…

Net-a-porter’s advent calendar

Net a porter advent calendar
Available on the American website of net-a-porter.

I would be overjoyed to receive this. Yes, its an Advent calendar designed for the Western holiday season. But, how do you expect a desi to ignore the fact that 25 top-tier luxury beauty products worth US$ 900 are being sold for US$ 260? They could be sold in a brown paper bag and I would still buy them for F&F (Friends & Family). (Click on link for more information).

NuFACE toning device

Nuface toning devide
Available on net a porter. (Price: US$ 200)

NuFACE used to be the only kid on the block that did facial toning devices. (It uses microcurrents to stimulate muscles below skin’s surface, improving tone, texture and overall appearance).

And now it comes with a “shimmer all night” promise, that is perfect for the party season. (Click on link for more information).

Budget option

You absolutely cannot go wrong with these sheet masks. They are trendy and full of goodness…And they come under INR 1,000.

sheet masks from forest essentials - the budget option
From Forest Essentials, priced at Rs 995 per pack

For some reason, Indians like to give and receive Home Decor. I guess its our answer to a good bottle of wine….

Continuing with budget items..

If you have the patience to sift through all the rubble occupying Episode stores, you deserve a Nobel Prize in “why can’t this store get its layout right?” I love this mini-diya stand. (Click on link for more information).

episode diyas
At INR 1,560 they are a steal.

I love butterflies, as do the Japanese, where culturally they are considered to be extremely auspicious. For less than INR 1,000 each, these are a joy…

For the potential mother-in-law / “I’d like you to not make life difficult for me just because you can” person in your life
