Welcome to the first day of the new year! I was planning to start writing on the fifth of this month, but given how many of you have serious downtime, I present more fodder for your brain cells!
The criteria for inclusion in this list are products that I have continued to use after the initial product test and are a part of my regular routine. I use these products regularly and have repurchased them for my personal consumption.
Naturally, there are not many such products: you shouldn’t expect there to be a million of these anyway.
No 1 best buy: nuface device
I have reviewed this product before: its not cheap, requires consistent application over 4-6 weeks before you see any difference and to add insult to injury, the results are not permanent.
Obviously, none of these negative factors bother me, because the benefit of consistent application far outweighs any of the cons I have listed. I cannot live without this device and I absolutely, recognize that not everyone has the time or patience to use this device.
When to buy the nuface device?
I have been monitoring the sales this year to essentially check when products are cheapest.
The nuface device was cheapest during the pre-Thanksgiving sale cultbeauty, when the brand was offering 30% off. With free shipping and a removal of UK sales tax (20%), my final saving on a nuface attachment was 40%+.

No 2: NIOD Bio Lipid concentrate
I absolutely hated the NIOD products. Sorry, NIOD. I think part of the problem was the cost (US$ 390) and the fact that the non-traditional, completely out there experience of using facial skincare was not for me.
However, at US$ 63, I love this product. My lips are softer, suppler and have not chapped even once since I started using this product. This is an achievement given I am constantly applying some lipcare product to prevent dryness and chapping.

No 3: Sarah Chapman face mask
This product is genius in design: it combines pink clay (draws out impurities without drying the skin) and delivers skin lightening. If there is only one face mask I could choose from to use for the rest of my life it would be this.

No 4: Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi beauty fluid
Kama Ayurveda charge INR 2,550 for 12 ml or close to US$ 90 for 30ml. Without doubt, this is an expensive product that does not last long. However, the results are visible within a week. This facial oil hydrated my skin, reduced pore size and helped even out skin complexion (which is essentially skin brightening). Please note that this product is not for sensitive or acne prone skin. My sister who has both sensitive and acne prone skin cannot tolerate this product. Just means more for me…
