Introduction
IZIL are a Moroccan brand that started-up less than a decade ago. I know the founder, a lovely and ambitious woman. Honestly, IZIL make some amazing products, which I believe NRI and Indian’s would love.
Hence, in my recent 40 day road-test (see this BLOG), I’ve included two IZIL products: the Regenerating serum AND a Regenerating skin (for dry skin).
I know what you are thinking: I am 35 days too early in my assessment.
However, the no 1 thing about the volume of products I review is this: I kind of know after about 10 uses (if not less), what products are likely to work out (or not) and I refuse to wait 40 days based on this.
What have I been testing?
IZIL’s regenerating serum is a watery serum, that’s composed of so many wonderful ingredients: Hydrolyzed wheat protein (should plump-up my skin), Sodium Hyaluronate, Grape seed oil (anti-oxidant) and Prickly Pear seed oil (which has a very high E content) and Ubiquinone (powerful anti-oxidant).
Despite this, this hands down is a terrible serum. This is what the consistency of the serum looks like.
If I wanted to use coloured milk on my skin – I would do that.
Perhaps you are thinking I am nit-picking and really, my criterion should be, “does this product do anything for my skin?” Well, in the five days I have been using this product, it has done NOTHING for my skin. Application in the night, does not make my skin more radiant, glowing or plump up or even out a single laugh line.
I am sorry, this product is just doing nothing for me and I acknowledge that it takes one full cycle of desquamation, before you can see the true effects of a product (about 28-40 days), but I’ll take my chances. In any event, the regenerating cream has similar ingredients.
Going back to the serum: I haven’t come to the worst part, being the price
This is a US$ 60 watery serum.

You may recall me whinging about the price of this product and telling you how fantastic it is but the price is ridiculous. I still think this, but I wanted to show you the contents of this bottle now.
Enter replacement facial oil
I will be using 100% cold pressed prickly pear oil that’s sold by IZIL. Here is a photo of the 30ml bottle. And yes, its not for the faint-hearted as it costs US$ 100.
Closing
Product is available for sale at IZIL’s online shop and they do worldwide shipping. Serum cost AED 225 and the prickly pear oil cost AED 345
