I will be very honest, despite their being a plethora of beauty advent calendars, there are exceptionally few (if any) diversified fragrance calendars.
The only one calendar that is worth exercising my grey cells over is the Harrods Fragrance calendar (priced at £150). This advent calendar came out for the whole of three seconds and was then immediately sold out.
My sorrow at not being able to purchase this calendar is quite overwhelming: it does feel like I have the missed the funeral of my favourite poodle from childhood.

What other fragrance calendars are there?
In all honesty, there are really no fragrance calendars that are worth buying because the price is simply pure extortion.
But here is the thing: its almost impossible for you or me to buy such a large range of different scents without spending a bomb. That’s simply fact. I did some market research in writing this blog and most people are happy with the price PROVIDED they get 24 products.
To my surprise, NO-ONE except me really cares about the VOLUME of the products involved. (Which is perfect if you are a retailer).
What else should I know about fragrance advent calendars?
Generally international shipping is not an option.
You will pay a premium in your local country. For example, the Jo Malone Advent calendar cost £350 in the UK. Where I live its £500 and generally out of stock.
Which fragrance advent calendars would I consider?
There are really aren’t any plain jane fragrance advent calendars: instead you have mixed home fragrances (candles), mixed with body products and some fragrance.
My pick?
None of these offer any value for money: let’s just be upfront and honest about that.
In light of that, my favourite would be Acqua di Parma followed by Diptyque and Penhaligons. The latter calendar – Penhalgions – is purely because of the novelty of the calendar and I haven’t tried the entire range of fragrances, and I happy to explore new things.
