Harvey Nichols Advent Calendar 2022

This is the first year that Harvey Nichols have come up with a beauty advent calendar.

Its a 25 day calendar.

How much does it cost?

£250 and at the date of writing this blog that’s US$ 270.

Does it ship globally?

Unlikely. It’s instore availability from the start of October at Harvey Nichols store locations in the UK and outside the UK. Internationally there are stores in Hong Kong, Qatar (Doha), UAE (Dubai), Kuwait and Saudi Arabia (Riyadh).

Who should buy this calendar?

This calendar is confusing. There are only 25 days (or 25 products) but there are 39 items in the list of contents.

Odd stand-out pieces are the fact that there are 5 treatment vouchers as follows:

• Dermalogica ProSkin 30 treatment voucher [worth £50]
• Environ Focus On Filler treatment, OR Focus On Eye treatment voucher [worth £65]
• Fenty Beauty The Whole Shebang 45-minute colour masterclass [worth £45]
• La Mer Waves of Hydration Service
• La Prairie Art of Beauty Facial treatment voucher [worth £150]

That’s over £310 which Harvey Nichols wants you to spend at their store.

The split of the calendar is broadly:

• Face care (16 products of which there are many masks)
• Make up (8 products)
• Parfum (7 vials)

Personally for me this is not a calendar that I am rushing out to buy. If I loved Harvey Nichols are shopped there regularly, then I would think of buying this calendar. (Not how I say think…)

For now, this is a hard pass. Even if they were giving 50% of the price of this calendar I would be reluctant to buy it given the wastage involved.
