Multi day product test – take 2

I really look forward to product tests, but my current 40 day product test is an unmitigated disaster and I am going to abandon it. Frankly, I cannot and will not write another review about how awful a product is. Out of the products I was testing, I refuse to write a review for IZIL’s regenerating cream (for dry skin) and YourGoodSkin Anti-Oxidant SPF 30 Day cream.

I am on the fence about Forest Essentials’ eyelash product. I have (previously) reviewed the following:

New morning regime:

Cleanser: Farmacy ultra-gentle cleanser (US$ 28 for 150ml), Moisturiser: Wishful Honey Balm (US$ 49 for 55g)

Revised evening regime:

Cleanser:, Serum: Vitamin C derivative (NIOD’s 30% Ethylated Ascorbic Acid Network (US$ 49 for 30ml), Moisturiser: Sanjeevani by Forest Essentials (INR 3,975 for 30ml), Oil: alternate between Prickly Pear Oil (IZIL) (about US$ 100 for 30ml) and juicy chemistry’s saffron & red raspberry (INR 1,650 for 30ml)

On my eyelashes, I will be using Forest Essential’s nayanatara (INR 1,225) (left) and Revitalash (right) ($150 eeks)

Order of routine…is this

Facial oils go on last – ALWAYS!!

What are my expectations:

Serious skin lightening. The whole entire regime is selected to ensure skin lightening. . The Wishful Honey Balm contains Niacinamide, Turmeric extract and Honey – all of which are skin lighteners.

The oils as well are rich in linoleic acid and compounds that should facilitate skin lightening.

Finally, the principal burden of lightening rests with NIOD’s 30% ethylated ascorbic acid. This is the first time I am using (i) a Vitamin C derivative (ii) such a high percentage of Vitamin C derivative and I am super-excited.

Eyelash growth: my expectation is no growth from either Revitalash or Forest Essentials’, so will be pleasant surprised if there is visible growth. On the other hand, if my eyelashes start to break or fall-out, this is an issue 🙂

Finally…

If you are a regular reader, you’ll know I cannot comprise on sun protection. I am using Bioderma’s Photoderm SPOT-AGE SPF 50+, which really is growing on me. Reapplication is never a problem with this sunscreen.

I will check in in about 40 day’s, unless there are disasters on the way.
