Victoria Beckham beauty lipsticks

Never heard of this brand…

While Victoria Beckham is no Kim K, if you have never heard of the Spice Girls and Victoria Beckham, then you are on your own.  Perhaps you’ve heard of her husband, David Beckham?

If not, search for her own google.   She is a fashionista who has a fashion line and expanded into “Beauty” including make-up

What am I reviewing?

This is an unfortunately named lipstick: Posh Lipstick, which if you are from the UK, just kind of means your not posh. (This is my inner elitist, class-based Democrat speaking).

I am reviewing a US$38 lipstick (which I bought for US$ 45).

What’s inside?

As a semi-geek, what really stands out for me is the vegetarian alternative of lanolin (which is amazing for the lips), but is derived from sheep. Also, the use of rose flower wax, which is an extremely uncommon ingredient.

What’s impression of this lipstick?

What my lips actually look like…

What’s my impression of this lipstick?

The colour payoff is low: that’s about 6 back and forth swipes across my lips to get colour, and you can see the uneven skin tone of my lips. For me, a big reason to wear lipsticks is that my bare skin tone is very uneven.

Skin feel of this product is spectacular and it feels as if I am wearing nothing but a lip balm.

Also, there is no fragrance at all.

The lipstick is very hydrating.

Disappointingly I do have to keep reapplying the same product, to maintain any semblance of colour.

Skin feel is unreal: it is feather light and feels amazing

No fragrance at all, which is great!

Would I buy this again?

Yes.

I love this  lipstick.  Period.  The skin feel is amazing:  it feels like applying butter (but not in a sickly way) on my lips

There are few products in my life that I have thought, Christ your so expensive, I won’t buy you again.  One is prevage’s city shield SPF sunscreen (that’s US$ 65) and the second is this lipstick. (I am on my second lipstick…)

Also, I am going to single out the lipstick case because it is lacquered, luxurious and beautiful.  I wish they would make the
same cover in lighter shades.  Perhaps a project for later.
