What’s inside the calendar?
Jo Malone include none of their face skincare products (e.g.) the Vitamin E lip balm.
Instead the breakdown of the calendar (25 products) is broadly:
- travel size colognes, of which there are 14
- there is only one 30 ml cologne and the rest are 9ml sizes
- body and hand washes/lotions of which there are 4
- soaps
- candles of which there are 3
- obscure objects (snow globe, key chain ring)
Who should buy this calendar?
This advent calendar is best given as a gift because it is a piece of luxury in terms of its just Jo Malone products (which are expensive anyway) and there are 25 of these!
That’s where all the good news ends for me personally.
I absolutely detest the Jo Malone advent calendar for 2 reasons.
Reason 1: there may be one full-sized product if you are lucky.
Reason 2: this advent calendar is probably the ONLY calendar that provides negative value for money.
E.g. the Harrods advent calendar offers £1,000+ in value for say £200-£300 retail price.
Based on the previous 2 years of calculating – Jo Malone does the opposite. You are better off simply spending £320 at a Jo Malone store.
